Neither does """we just don't know"".
from my experience within the jw organization, i understood that salvation meant a person accepted the teachings of the wbts without question as the "faithful and discrete slave," thereby placing their trust in them, not jesus christ.
salvation consisted of being found "righteous" by jehovah and resurrected to everlasting life in an earthly paradise.
to obtain this salvation, one needed to obey the organization's teachings, remain a faithful jw, and lead a moral life.

It was clickbait..
I fell straight for it also

" the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible".
Doesnt mesh with "at that time the lifesaving instructions may not seem practical from a human standpoint. All of us,,, must be ready to obey any instructions..."""

Yes. Those talks. I remember them vividly.
About those great tribulation starting & you're locked-in & your fate is sealed when the GT starting.
A lull & hush would sweep over the circuit assembly. All you could hear was a child goooing & gahhing & the ventilation system.
That wasn't even a decade ago.
Now those "intense talks"" are just.......

They dont know what they teach themselves.
Not long ago,,,, maybe 8 - 10 years ago there were talks about whatever you were doing at that time you were locked-in and you were doomed.
Now,, we have this last minute repentance thing??
They dont know !!
for those on this forum who still consider themselves christian or students of the bible, are there any bible principles you came across during your own study or research that were never brought out by the gb of the jws but that you found significant or profound?.
i don't mean doctrinal issues like the trinity, heaven & hell, etc, as these are issues christendom has been arguing over for centuries.
i mean simple, scriptural principles that the gb could've highlighted at any time, but for various reasons - some obvious, some less so - have chosen not to.. one that stood out to me is in 1 samuel chapters 2, 3 and 4.. young samuel has been dedicated to the temple and is being raised to serve god there.
The governing body hijacked the ""faithful servant" parable in Matthew 24:45 to make it apply to them.
Faithful slave.
hope everyone near to the region affected in california is ok. it's shocking to hear of the destruction.
these affected areas are some of the places i visited when i came on a tour of the us.
malibu, santa barbera, la, santa monica, hollywood and so on..
The Borganization cant let this crisis go to waste.
They will have to piggyback more fearmongering on this.

mike rinder has died.. he was a lifelong scientologist who broke away from the organization and became one of its biggest detractors.. rest in peace, mike!
